A special vigil will be held in Melbourne on Saturday, August 16, for the women lost to violence this past year.

It is being organised in the wake of multiple lives lost, particularly in Victoria, over the past few weeks.

We have now lost 44 women to violence since January 1, 2025.

The She Matters Vigil will be held at the She Matters Mural, Hosier Lane, Melbourne from 5pm this coming Saturday (Aug 16).

Victorians are invited to attend, lay flowers and place candles in front of the She Matters Mural. Those who cannot make it are asked to turn their front light on so we can collectively shine a light on this epidemic.
