Australia is supposed to have a no-tolerance approach to domestic violence and it’s supposed to revoke the visas of perpetrators.
Except sports stars it seems.
British soccer player Jason Hart (aka Jay Hart) is not a good bloke. Indeed, he’s a shit bloke.
Hart has been in the country since 2020 on a student visa.
He’s a domestic violence abuser with a long record of destroying women physically and emotionally.
Hart has multiple victims in England and in Australia.
He has assault convictions and is the subject of many intervention orders.
His history of violence is not a secret.
He keeps getting star billing at Australian football clubs, including Sydenham FC and Caroline Springs Georges Cross FC.
And the Australian Government won’t kick him out of the country.
His victims Sarah Fardy and Cara Greedy are petitioning the Federal Government to remove Hart from Australia before he hurts someone else.
“Hart remains in Australia, refusing tax-payer-funded male behavioral reform programs, taking no responsibility for his behavior,” Cara and Sarah said.
Another woman says: I personally knew a woman affected by this man’s manipulative, dangerous behaviour. He is a threat to women and in the current epidemic of violence against women the government needs to step up and intervene.”
And another person said: “I had one of my close friends survive a relationship with this guy, and as I’m sure many others can understand, she has been afraid to speak out in fear that he will do something else.”
Sydenham FC only removed him after his victims repeatedly begged them to stop platforming him.
