Virginia Giuffre died in questionable circumstances in April. But, from beyond the grave, she’s making sure her abusers never erase her story.
She wrote a memoir, titled Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice.
It is scheduled for release this October, publishing house Alfred A Knopf says.
Virginia’s death is officially due to suicide, but many believe someone else played a role in ending her life.
Virginia was raped by Prince Andrew who procured her for sexual exploitation through Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
She was also experiencing domestic violence in the lead up to her death.
Virginia worked with journalist Amy Wallace to complete the manuscript for the 400-page book, sending an email saying: saying that it was her “heartfelt wish” the memoir be released “regardless” of her circumstances.
“The content of this book is crucial, as it aims to shed light on the systemic failures that allow the trafficking of vulnerable individuals across borders,” she wrote to her co-author.
“It is imperative that the truth is understood and that the issues surrounding this topic are addressed, both for the sake of justice and awareness.”
“In the event of my passing, I would like to ensure that NOBODY’S GIRL is still released. I believe it has the potential to impact many lives and foster necessary discussions about these grave injustices,” she wrote.
