Mel Cooper was handcuffed to a desk in the police station muster room by her colleagues.
The photo of her is shocking. It shows her colleague forcing her head toward the camera so another colleague could take her photo.
During the assault they ripped her shirt and they gyrated their groins near her face.
Mel was saved by another female officer.
She was unable to report the assault due to fears she would lose her job and her career.
She was only 19 years old.
Suffering PTSD, Mel left the force after 30 years.
She says NSW Police is rife with bullying, nepotism and revenge.
“I just went I can’t do this anymore, I can’t,” she said.
“I’m out of fight.
“Thirty years of fighting and it’s not getting better.
“In fact, it’s getting worse.”
