Cameron John Pearson has pleaded guilty to murdering lawyer and barrister Alice Rose McShera in Perth on October 30, 2023.
He used a blunt instrument to beat Alice to death while she was staying in a hotel. Alice and Pearson were in a relationship.
The killer’s sentencing has been delayed while a psychiatric report is prepared. The sentencing is scheduled for March.
Alice was the 57th Australian woman killed in 2023. That year, we lost 74 women to femicide. The toll of femicide has continued to rise.
