Youth worker Jarib Branfield-Bradshaw is charged with eight counts of possessing child exploitation material. He is the 2026 Young Australian of the Year for Queensland and he works for Paroo Shire Council.
A video and images were allegedly discovered on two electronic work devices in his possession.
Police began investigating on February 24 and his now charged with multiple offences.
“Police will allege further examination of personal electronic devices revealed him to be in possession of additional child exploitation material,” Queensland Police said.
He will appear in Cunnamulla Magistrates Court on April 9.
