❤️HER NAME IS: PHOENIX SPENCER-HORN!❤️
I cannot begin to tell you how distressing the murder and attempted cover-up of Phoenix Spencer-Horn’s femicide is.
Ewan Methven murdered Phoenix on November 18, 2024 in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire.
She was only 21.
Phoenix, known as Phe by all who loved her, was working at a local cafe and was an integral part of her community.
She’d been dating Methven for some time. On the day of her death, he texted her complaining he did not like her working as it meant less time with him.
That evening he came home. The following is exceedingly distressing.
Methven strangled Phoenix and repeatedly stabbed her with three knives.
After killing Phoenix, he decapitated her and tried to cut off her limbs.
He sent Phoenix’s mum multiple texts saying her daughter was fine.
He spent days driving around in her car, scrolling through her phone for pornography and trying to buy drugs.
When he finally called authorities, he claimed he had psychosis and did not remember what he did.
“I could not stay here with her like that,” he told police.
“I tried to dismember her. I moved her from the bath and put her there.”
He pleaded guilty and awaits sentencing.
“We have had to come to terms that we will never cuddle, kiss, laugh with her again and never get served one of her brilliant barista coffees with the perfect latte art which always made you feel special of how much love and precision she put into making them,” her mum Alison said at her funeral.
“We now only have the photos and videos to be blessed with her stunning smile, the stunning smile that the people who were lucky enough to have met Phe were left with after encountering her amazing energy and radiance.”
