“Dear mum, I love you. I miss our holidays together and our tickle fights. You are the best mum in the world.”
The little boy who said these words was only six. He is Molly Ticehurst’s son. He was speaking at her funeral last year.

MOLLY WILL HAVE BEEN GONE FOR ONE YEAR ON APRIL 22, 2025

In just a few weeks, her family will commemorate the first anniversary of her femicide.
Molly feared her former partner would kill her. Authorities refused to lock him up.
Molly was killed in Forbes on April 22, 2024 – she was the 30th of 103 women killed that year.
Molly was kind, funny, empathetic, intelligent and friendly.
Molly and her parents – Tony and Kate – were exceedingly close.
Molly is just one of thousands of women let down daily by the courts – she is one of many who paid the ultimate price.
As her family struggles to heal, they must also lobby governments for change and rally to save lives.

1000 BIKES AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE RALLY

On April 11 – the day before Molly’s birthday – the 1000 Bikes Against Domestic Violence will see motorbike riders from Dubbo, Wagga, Sydney and Canberra gather at Parliament House in the ACT to pressure governments to act on domestic violence and femicide.
You are invited to join the rally:
WHEN: April 11, from 1pm.
WHERE: Parliament House, Canberra

We can’t change the story for Molly, but her story can change the lives of other women.
