SHE MATTERS: AMANDA RAHMAN

❤️SHE MATTERS: AMANDA RAHMAN!❤️

‘She was the most loving mother, sister, aunty and grandmother you could ever know’
Amanda Rahman (Luatasi Ada) adored her family – they were the centre of her universe and she the centre of their’s.
They are now mourning their matriarch after her son Bruce Archer (Furkan Ada) allegedly stabbed Amanda to death at her home in Mount Pritchard, New South Wales, on August 3. Amanda is the 40th of 42 Australian women killed this year and the 145th woman killed since January 1, 2024.
Amanda was 62 years old. A woman dedicated to her family. A woman known for her kindness and generosity, admired by her friends and her community.
As always, media reporting around Amanda’s death is limited – women of a certain age and certain ethnicities do not rate with editors.
“She was the most loving mother, sister, aunty and grandmother you could ever know,” he nephew says.
It is clear Amanda matters to those who love her and to her community. I hope she matters to you.
