SHE MATTERS: SHAFEEQA HUSSEINI

❤️SHE MATTERS: SHAFEEQA HUSSEINI!❤️

Six children are without their mum after a domestic violence thug decided to murder.
Shafeeqa Husseini was found dead in her home at Bordertown, South Australia, on Sunday evening after a concerned person requested a police welfare check.
Her husband ended his own life.
Shafeeqa is the 42nd Australian woman killed this year and the 146th woman killed since January 1, 2024.
Shafeeqa’s children were not home when she was killed, but they will travel a traumatic road for the rest of their lives.
Shafeeqa came to Australia from Afghanistan 15 years ago – a country where women’s rights do not exist, thanks to the brutality of the Taliban.
She should have been safe here, but he decided to be just as brutal as the regime they escaped.
Shafeeqa worked at the local slaughterhouse and was known for providing delicious meals at community events.
The killer, Mirza Husseini, was the subject of a domestic violence investigation.
Police say there was a violent incident earlier this year, but they say there were no further reports.
We all know many women do not report out of fear for themselves, their children and their animals. We also know women often get turned away by police without their concerns being documented.
And in news that will surprise no one who follows me, a bunch of people across social media have been making disgusting comments about Shafeeqa because of her religion.
One upstanding good bloke even said “good, two less to worry about”.
It’s almost as if people think white Australians don’t kill people. Hot tip: My research shows the majority of killers in Australia are regular run-of-the-mill Caucasian blokes.
No matter what they say online about Shafeeqa, she will always matter to her children, her family, her friends and her community.
I hope she matters to you!
