❤️SHE MATTERS: LISA WARD❤️
She was walking her dog.
The simplest thing a person can do. And now she is gone – erased by a man using a car as a weapon (allegedly).
Lisa Ward – a former police officer, a mum, a local woman who loved her community and cared about the safety of its people – should have been able to walk her dog without fear of harm – without being murdered. It’s not a lot to ask, is it?
The 55-year-old was allegedly run down by Dion Anthony Craig, 50, moments after she took a photo of his number plate. He was known in the region for dangerous driving. He allegedly drove over the top of Lisa at Ulmarra, NSW, on Tuesday. He is charged with her murder. Lisa is the 57th Australian woman killed this year and the 162nd woman lost to violence since January 1, 2024.
“She was a beautiful, friendly, kind and caring person,” a friend told a media outlet.
Lisa had every right to walk our streets – she should have arrived home safely. But here we are again. Another woman killed doing an everyday thing.
LISA WARD MATTERS!❤️
