Her name is Michelle Sumner. She was only 53.
Michelle was murdered in a park in Adelaide on January 20 of this year. At first, police treated her death as ‘unexplained’. Now a man known to her is charged with her murder.
Michelle is the 65th of 66 Australian women killed this year and the 170th woman lost to violence since January 1 of 2024.
Detectives said Michelle was assaulted. There’s simply no other information about Michelle. I wish there was.
