This queen is Chaya Dadon.
She is recovering from bullet wounds she suffered during the Bondi Beach mass murder on December 14. She suffered the wounds when she used her body to shield two young children from the violent extremist men.
A mum begged 14-year-old Chaya to take her children . Chaya was hiding under a bench but she ran to the children and lay across the two youngest.
The killers shot Chaya in the leg.
Her grandfather, Rabbi Yaakov Lieder, told The Guardian: “Her instinct is to save lives while these terrorists are killing people. What a contrast.”
“She always wants to make sure that nobody gets hurt. When she sees people together she always wants to make peace.”
