❤️SHE MATTERS: TANIA TRETIAK❤️
She was attending the festival with her family – a day out to celebrate Jewish culture and to bond with the community.
Her name is Tania Tretiak. The 68-year-old grandmother was murdered by the two men who decided to massacre people attending the Chanukah by the Sea Jewish festival at Bondi Beach, NSW, on December 14. Police have confirmed Jewish people were the target of the men’s brutality.
Fourteen other people were murdered.
Tania’s husband is one of five people in a critical condition.
Tania is the 71st Australian woman killed this year and the 176th killed since January 1, 2024.
She is also the ninth Australian female victim of male violence confirmed over the past week.
One of the killers was shot to death by police and one faces more than 50 offences, including 15 counts of murder.
A Christmas Eve vigil for all women and children killed this year will be held at the She Matters Mural, Hosier Lane, Melbourne, from 5.30pm on December 24.
