The children of Australia’s latest femicide victim need our help so they can say goodbye to their mum.
Anaseini Nai Waqavuki endured ongoing domestic violence in her relationship.
She had left him and was starting a new life of peace and hope.
He allegedly murdered Anaseini at her home in Quakers Hill, NSW, on December 28.
He is charged with killing Anaseini and her 30-year-old friend Epi Naitini.
Anaseini is the 73rd Australian woman killed this year and the 178th woman killed since January 1 of 2024.
Anaseini’s children live in Fiji. Her niece Georgina Bulewa has set up a GoFundMe to raise enough money for the children to attend her funeral here in Australia and to help cover any costs related to her death.

“Anaseini was a loving aunt, daughter, sister, and mother whose kindness and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her,” Georgina writes.
“Behind her warm smile, Anaseini endured domestic violence, a struggle no one should ever have to face.
“Despite the pain she carried, she remained strong and resilient, always thinking of others before herself.
“Anaseini has left behind her children in Fiji, who are now facing life without their mother. This is a heartbreaking reality for our family, and our thoughts and prayers are especially with her children during this unimaginably painful time.”
