If men are comfortable enough in their sexism, racism and misogyny to post material like this online, there’s 100% no reason for media to hide their identities. But they are.
These men are with the Box Hill North Football Club.
Their behaviour is so offensive that footballer and BHFNC women’s captain Genna Krienke resigned over their antics and the club’s disinterest in punishing the offenders.
The media refuse to identify them, but I have no qualms letting you see their faces and names!

BHFNC team captain Jono Tommasoni and player Tom Slocomb made a Silly Saturday outfit to represent what media call the ‘St Kilda schoolgirl ’case from 2010, in which two players are alleged to have preyed on a teenage girl.
“I could not believe that he (Tommasoni) was dressing up as an outfit of a young girl who had made allegations of sexual misconduct against very powerful people in society — and that was what the captain, who leads the team, was wearing,” Genna says.
In another Silly Saturday image, we have club vice-captain Blake Williams dressed as a black person and player Tim Stanghi. They both wear large fake male genitals. Because of course they did.
Two media outlets have articles online about these images and … yeah, they’ve refused to name the players and blurred their faces.
Media will victim-blame and slut-shame rape and femicide victims but calling out misogyny is too arduous or risky? The hypocrisy is rank tbh!
Meanwhile, Jeff D’Amato has a coaching role at the club. In a reel on the club’s Instagram, he jokes about women ending up in the ‘Bangalore Forest’. BHFNC has received complaints about the reel, but it remains online.
