Siriyakorn (Bung) Siriboon’s mother Vannida (Nid) has died of cancer, never knowing what happened to her little girl.
Bung disappeared while walking to school in Boronia, Victoria, on June 2, 2011.
It is believed Bung was kidnapped and murdered.
Nid never gave up on finding her daughter.
A GoFundMe has been set up to support Nid’s family.
The past 15 years have been deeply distressing for Bung’s family.
Nid was diagnosed with primary central nervous system lymphoma in May of 2024 and became critically unwell in the past few months.
She was living in Thailand while her husband Fred remained in Australia for work.
“With great sorrow and sadness l like to inform you my wife has passed thank you all, with all our love and gratitude for the help you share bless you all,” Fred said on February 9.
“One journey comes to an end and another begins.”
