Her name is Chamindika Jayawardena. To her friends she is Chami Jay. The 47-year-old was murdered about March 1 to 3 at Hernes Oak in Victoria.
Chami is the 12th Australian woman killed this year. Last year we lost 78 women and 106 were killed in 2024.
Entire stories around Chami’s murder are dedicated to HIS career, HIS pastimes, HIS mateships. To be honest, I am surprised they even used Chami’s name.
The 47-year-old was a sweet and generous human, adored for her kindness and care.
