Youth worker Jarib Branfield-Bradshaw is charged with eight counts of possessing child exploitation material. He is the 2026 Young Australian of the Year for Queensland and he works for Paroo Shire Council.
A video and images were allegedly discovered on two electronic work devices in his possession.
Police began investigating on February 24 and his now charged with multiple offences.
โ€œPolice will allege further examination of personal electronic devices revealed him to be in possession of additional child exploitation material,โ€ Queensland Police said.
He will appear in Cunnamulla Magistrates Court on April 9.
