In more proof abusive men can do literally anything and keep their pedestal – a sporting group is holding a tournament to honour their team-mate who produced child rape material!
Darryl Jon Alford was facing multiple charges of making child sex abuse exploitation material. Then he ended his own life.
So his sporting team thought it would be a good idea to dedicate a tournament in his honour.
Q Tour South – a Queensland-based ten-pin bowling league – praised Alford for being a ‘great mate’, a ‘familiar face’ and someone who was ‘talented and ‘brought so much’ to their ‘community’. The post is still on their Facebook page!
The organisation is holding a tournament in his memory on April 19 at Aspley 10Pin Bowl. Perhaps a protest is in order!
Alford died on March 27. He was due to face Brisbane District Court on April 27 for mention, after he was charged with three child abuse material charges in 2024. The offending happened at Taigum.
