❤️SHE MATTERS: CARRON SCOTT❤️
‘You were taken from us in an instant, just minding your business on the way to work.’
Carron Scott was driving to work. He had stolen a vehicle and was driving dangerously and under the influence.
The 60-year-old mum-of-two had no chance.

He smashed his vehicle into Carron’s car and fled the scene without getting her help.
Carron could not be saved and the 31-year-old man is charged with her manslaughter and other offences. Carron was killed on May 5 at Woodford. She is the 24th Australian woman killed this year. Last year, 79 women were killed – the year before we lost 106 women.
I have always included women and children lost to manslaughter in my count. Vehicles are weapons when used the wrong way – they are as dangerous as firing a gun randomly into a crowd and those who die as a result of this form of violence deserve to have their deaths counted. See the note at end of post for information about the count.
Carron was an aged care nurse, a beloved wife and mum and adored member of her community.
She had only celebrated her wedding anniversary weeks earlier.
“You were taken from us in an instant, just minding your business on the way to work,” he husband wrote on social media.
“Right now we are all feeling lost without you.
“Thank you for a wonderful 25 years together.”
A GoFundMe has been set up to help Carron’s family as they move forward without their precious human.
“Carron was the most amazing caring Nurse who went above and beyond every day,” the GFM says.
“She looked after many elderly people in there darkest days with comfort and love.
“So loved by all who knew her and worked with her.”
