SHE MATTERS: UNNAMED WOMAN

❤️SHE MATTERS: UNNAMED WOMAN!❤️
The body of a 29-year-old woman was found in her home in Werribee, Victoria, on May 15. She was murdered by her partner. He then ended his own life.
She is the 27th Australian woman killed this year – and the second woman killed this week. Last year we lost 79 women to violence – the year before 106 women were killed.
Gerrod Elbourne had a long history of violence including harming former partners, burning down his parent’s home and killing their dog. He spent around 12 months in jail for the arson – had he served a longer sentence, the woman would still be alive.
Last week, three Australian women were killed in a 48-hour period. Two of the women died in murder-suicides perpetrated by their male partners; and the other woman’s son is charged with her murder.
There’s been no word from our Prime Minister or other leaders and the media remains relatively silent.
