Carlton have temporarily revoked the membership of The Jumper Punch host Rocco Stagnitti after he said on air that he would “punch the fuck out of the Besties”.
The Besties are a female crew who run a social media platform and podcast around their love of the AFL.
The Jumper Punch Insta page remains open.
Carlton leadership confirmed they cancelled the membership of Stagnitti until the end of 2026.
“The segment was abhorrent and in no way reflective of the values of the Carlton Football Club or the wider Carlton community, who have, and continue to be, incredibly supportive of the Club’s commitment to raising awareness around the prevention of violence,” Carlton said.
“Football should be a place for everyone to enjoy a sense of community and belonging. Violence against women is never acceptable, and content of this nature reinforces why education around respectful relationships remains so important, which the Club remains committed to supporting.”
Stagnitti and three other men involved in the segment have been offered the chance to take part in a Respect education program.
