Cheralyn Darcey won an award at the Mumbrella Australian Audio Awards on Thursday evening.
When she went up to accept it, a man chose to manhandle her by grasping her bottom with his hands as he hugged her.
That man was her boss and colleague, 2HD general manager Guy Ashford. The Super Radio Network says Ashford has been stood down while they investigate – there’s not a lot to investigate given it happened in front of hundreds of people and many filmed it.
He did this shortly after serial work-place sexual harasser Chris Smith scored a gong and wide praise on the night despite having hung his p*** out to a colleague and came onto other women in the workplace on at least two occasions.
Smith has since been re-employed and there’s no doubt Ashford will soon be back on-deck after the company thinks all is forgotten.
