First it was calling her a witch, now it’s threats of sexual violence.
The level of misogynist toxicity in the Victorian election is starting to ramp up with opponents refusing to focus on the government’s failures and instead resorting to threats and name-calling.
In the latest incident, ‘r*** Jacinta Allen’ was scrawled on a tram stop in Preston. The message appeared in the past day or so.
It follows on the heels of the ‘ditch the witch’ campaign rolled out in Victoria as Allan and the rest of the ALP try to win the upcoming state election.
Brothel owner Franco Puleo is among the people funding the $105,000 Ditch the Witch advertising campaign.
It is not known who put the message on the tram stop. I cannot imagine anyone threatening sexual violence against a male political leader and if they did there would be consequences.
