Another child left without their mum because a man chose violence over walking away.
Ethan Midgley is charged with the murder of 23-year-old Mallorie Jane Roberts at her home Biggera Waters in Queensland. He allegedly shot her to death yesterday.
Mallorie is the 34th Australian woman killed this year. Last year we lost 79 women to violence – the year before 106 women were killed.
Mallorie was raising her young son. She was adored by her family and friends and deserved to live a long, peaceful and happy life.
“I love you I want to hold you and not let you go my beautiful sweetheart my beautiful daughter,” her mum said on social media.
Mallorie’s friend Haylee has started a GoFundMe to help her family.
“Our hearts are shattered following the tragic loss of our beautiful Mallorie, whose life was taken far too soon in a devastating act of domestic violence,” Haylee says.
Mallorie leaves behind her precious son, a loving sister, and a family whose lives have been changed forever. She was deeply loved and will be remembered for her beautiful heart, kind spirit, and the love she had for those around her.”
Money raised will help the family with her son’s immediate needs and other financial impacts stemming from this man’s violent actions.
