SHE MATTERS: UNNAMED WOMAN

❤️SHE MATTERS: UNNAMED WOMAN❤️
A boy is charged with killing his mum so a journalist writes a story about how the building in which they lived was the danger!
Yes. This happened after a 35-year-old mother was stabbed to death, and her daughter critically injured, in Bentley, Western Australia, this week. The woman’s 16-year-old son is charged with her murder and attempted murder.
She is the 38th Australian woman killed this year.
Last year we lost 79 women to violence – the year before 106 women were killed.
It is incredible the gymnastics media will go to in their attempt to avoid discussing male violence.
The West Australian dedicated an entire article to the building in which the woman was murdered, the headline screaming: ‘Inside the ‘violent’ complex connected to Perth mum’s death’.
In the wake of femicide, media have a real opportunity to bring the issues underlying women’s murders to the fore. Instead of focusing on buildings, they can interview experts and examine the many holes in the safety nets that ultimately underpin femicide.
At a bare minimum, they could just not put the blame for male violence onto bricks and mortar.
