An Australian man raped a woman for 40 years.
He began violating her when she was only 12 and continued the abuse until 2024 when he was interviewed by police about a bomb threat he made.
Francis Kwok Kie Chan, 77, was recently convicted over the ongoing assaults and other charged when he faced a court in Western Australia.
His abuse of the woman was ‘regular and persistent’, the prosecutor told the court.
It involved beating her with a dog leash, exposing her to graphic images and taking her photo, the Post reports.
The woman was able to get away for a while but he tracked her down while she was overseas and began the attacks again.
“At no point did I ever give consent,” the victim told the court.
“I thought he would get angry at me and get physically violent and hurt me.”
He only slowed down because his age impacted his libido.
A police raid at his home found explosive materials along with other weapons.
He was convicted on all charged and is expected to be sentenced in October.
