Accused rapist Asen Ivanov has lost a bid keep his identity secret.
Ivanov – a Melbourne surgeon – has pleaded not guilty to multiple offences and will go to trial next year, the Herald Sun reports.
A magistrate put a suppression order on his identity in place in May. It was made on mental health grounds.
A County Court judge has removed the order and he can now be named.
Ivanov was charged with six counts of rape last year.
It is alleged he raped a female friend multiple times in one evening after he invited her to visit.
