Shayne Hans Griskonis wants a court to hide his identity because he faces embarrassment and damage to his reputation after being charged with inducing a child to act as a prostitute and other offences.
The 50-year-old fronted Albany Magistrates Court recently, Perth Now reports.
As well as the child-related offence, he is also charged with cultivating a prohibited plant and possessing a controlled weapon.
Police say he ‘induced a child to act as a prostitute’ in Perth during March, 2026.
His lawyer said there would be an application for a suppression order.
The lawyer said Griskonis has a business in Albany.
She said he had suffered ‘a lot of reputational damage and “embarrassment’ as a result of media reports and he wanted the court to prohibit further reporting on his case.
The magistrate will consider the application in September.
