Jeremy Saland is a lawyer for one of the Cornell gang-rapist accused and already he’s out there spreading lies about victim-survivor Jane Doe.
Representing Scott Kretzschmar, Saland said: “The plaintiff can peddle any story she wants but intentionally victimizing an innocent person for a money-grab is reprehensible”.
He made the claim in media interviews. Interestingly, Saland’s profile on LinkedIn says he’s a stalking and revenge porn victim advocate. Not sure how he can represent rapists and victims of violence – but here we are.
Every time a woman says she was raped and tries to hold the rapist to account, there’s a rush to paint her as a gold digger. We’ve seen this in so many cases – Bill Cosby, Connor McGregor, Donald Trump, Derrick Rose, Cristiano Ronaldo, the Tate brothers and the Alexander Brothers just to name a few.
As if any woman is going to expose herself to mass humiliation, death threats and doxing and not to mention the horrendous experience of testifying before a jury for money. Only to know she is most likely to not be believed and not get justice. The only gold-diggers are the lawyers.
