❤️SHE MATTERS: CAROLINE (CARLEE) SMITH!❤️
To know her was to adore her.
Caroline (Carlee) Smith was a light in the lives of her family, friends and community.
Last Thursday, police attended her home in Hamilton, Victoria, to check that she was OK as she had not been heard from for some time.
They found her body there.
Her male housemate was at a different location with what is believed to be self-inflicted injuries. He is charged with murder.
Caroline is the 27th of 29 women killed this year and the 130th of 132 women killed since January 1, 2024.
Caroline was an adored daughter, sister, niece, friend and member of the Hamilton community.
Caroline’s beloved husband died of cancer last year.
She was gregarious, warm, vibrant, funny, selfless, and caring.
She often had locals around for cake and coffee afternoons at the property she called home with her beloved.
“Nothing was ever too much,” a friend told media.
“When I first had Covid, Carlee delivered three meals a day to my front door, with loving notes attached.
“Her bubbly infectious personality will never be forgotten.
“Carlee wore a Superwoman T-shirt under her bib and brace overalls most days.
“I could go on forever about this angel on earth. They are one in a million, and I had the privilege to meet one.”
