Annmarie O’Reilly was murdered in her home at Ferntree Gully, Victoria, on August 21.
Her 45-year-old partner Patrick Stokes is charged with her murder.
Annmarie is the 46th Australian woman killed this year. Last year we lost 79 women to violence – the year before 106 women were killed.
Police found 30-year-old Annmarie critically injured not long after her two older boys were dropped at school.
Her three-year-old son was in the home when officers arrived.
“She was the nicest woman you’d meet,” a relative wrote on social media.
“The best mother to her kids. May you get the best bed in heaven.”
