Belinda Nichols was found deceased in a home at Bayswater, Victoria, on February 16.
Homicide Squad detectives took a man known to her into custody. No one has been charged over her death.
Belinda is the 9th woman killed this year. Last year 78 Australian women were killed and 106 women were killed in 2024.
Belinda was mum to three children.
“Belinda was a beautiful soul who adored her three boys,” a friend told a media outlet.
”She was a loyal friend and stayed close to all of my family.
“There were many ups and downs for Belinda, but she always hoped for a better life for her and her beautiful boys.”
