SHE MATTERS: JEANETTE McIVER

❤️SHE MATTERS: JEANETTE McIVER!❤️

He allegedly killed her – now he’s complaining about the cold.
Jeanette McIver was murdered in her home at Coleraine, Victoria, on August 2. She is the 40th of 44 Australian women killed this year and one of 146 women lost to violence since January 1, 2024.
Her death was brutal – as femicides always are.
But it’s her accused killer – Neely McIver – who is feeling sorry for himself.
When he faced court this week, he complained of being cold in the watchhouse. No thoughts for the woman whose body will lay cold in the dirt because he chose to end her life.
He’s also unhappy he cannot have his reading glasses and there’s no doubt a mental health defence in the works with the court being told he has depression.
No, depression does not cause murder. Murderers cause murder.
Anyway, we know a hell of a lot about this man’s sad state of affairs but as usual we know nothing of Jeanette, other than her age, cause of death and her location of death.
One thing is clear, Jeanette deserved to live and she deserves to know we care.
