❤️SHE MATTERS: JORDANA JOHNSON!❤️

‘Her children were her world’
Two little boys having a sleepover. One devoted mum was caring for them.
All erased by an act of violence perpetrated by a woman (allegedly) who had no right to cause harm, to destroy lives, to erase futures.
It’s not even remotely possible to know the deep pain endured by the families, friends and community of 36-year-old retail worker Jordana Johnson, her 12-year-old son Jordan Norris and his 12-year-old dear friend Chazz Mather.
Jordana was murdered in her home at Toolooa, Queensland, on October 15. A woman known to Jordana and who was staying at her home is charged with three counts of murder and two of arson.
Jordana is the 55th Australian woman killed this year and the 160th woman lost to violence since January 1, 2024. The murders of Jordan and Chazz bring Australia’s child death toll to 21 for this year – exactly the number of children we lost in 2024. This post is for Jordana, but posts for Jordan and Chazz will follow soon.
Their families have given permission to identify them by name and to use the specific photos attached to my posts.
Jordana’s love extended to her family and friends and she was always willing to help anyone in need, her family says.
“Jordana was a devoted mother with a big heart, her children were her world,” they said.
“Jordana, Jordan and Chazz are our nutchum, our whanau, our family,” their families said, honouring their First Nations and Maori heritage.
“As you can see, we have representation from two families from different cultures that are now one through this tragedy.
“We are supporting each other by connecting, reflecting and sharing the beautiful memories to honour them all.”
The Gladstone community will gather on Saturday, October 25, to pay tribute to Jordana, Jordan and Chazz.
It is always soul-destroying when we lose one woman or a child to violence in any community – to lose three lives to violence in one small regional city is beyond distressing.
