❤️SHE MATTERS: LAVANYA CHAPPA!❤️
Her name is Lavanya Chappa. The 39-year-old was stabbed to death at her home in Vermont, Victoria, on July 7. Her husband Srinivas Achanta is charged with Lavanya’s murder.
Lavanya is the 36th Australian woman killed this year. Last year we lost 79 women to violence – the year before 106 women were killed.
Lavanya is a mum to two children and a software quality analyst. Her daughter and son were home when she was murdered.
The young ones were taken into care and her family is flying to Australia to bring them back home to India.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help her children and to ensure they have all the material things they need as they mourn her.
“She will be remembered for her warmth, compassion and the positive impact she had on everyone fortunate enough to know her,” her cousin says.
“Lavanya was a devoted mother to her beloved children.
“They now face an unimaginable future without their mother’s comforting presence, guidance, unconditional love and the countless dreams she held for them.”
