She was murdered at least one week ago. Then dumped, partially unclothed, in bushland opposite her home.
Her name is Leanne Akrap. A man known to her has just been charged with her murder.
Leanne is the 34th Australian woman killed this year and the 137th killed since January 1, 2024.
The 47-year-old’s body was found on Sunday at Werrington, NSW. Police spent the past two days investigating her suspected femicide and this morning they said the male had been charged.
Leanne was a single mum who often posted about her child on social media.
There’s not a lot else known about her but when I do get more information I will update this post.
