SHE MATTERS: MERRIL KELLY

❤️SHE MATTERS: MERRIL KELLY!❤️
Her face iconic, her laugh infectious, her soul kind, generous and beautiful.
No words can describe the importance of Merril Kelly to the residents of Quambatook.
This vibrant, funny, caring woman was an integral part of the community.
Merril was tiny in stature, she was elderly, but damn she was a firecracker and a force to be reckoned with.
To know her life was taken so violently and her body treated so abhorrently, it just breaks the heart of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Merril was murdered on January 21 at Quambatook, Victoria. A male, known to Merril but not related, is now charged over her death.
Merril is the 5th Australian woman killed this year.
Over the past few days, many local women have reached out to tell me about their mate.
“She was an absolutely divine human being,” one friend said.
“I cannot comprehend how someone would dare do this to her.”
Every few days (on average) Australia loses a woman to male violence and all of these women are amazing. They, like Merril, touch countless lives in unfathomable ways. And then they are gone – erased by acts that are entirely preventable.
Can someone let @albomp know about Merril!

REST IN POWER MERRIL KELLY! ❤️
