❤️SHE MATTERS: PHEOBE BISHOP!❤️
“I need my baby home to put her to rest! I’m absolutely begging anyone who knows anything to come forward.
For four weeks, her mum has been pleading for the truth. Four weeks is a lifetime when your child is missing.
Pheobe Bishop, a 17-year-old woman on the cusp of her adulthood, disappeared from Bundaberg, Qld, on May 15.
On June 6, her housemates – a man and a woman – were charged with Pheobe’s murder.
Pheobe is the 33rd Australian woman killed this year and the 136th woman killed since January 1, 2024.
It’s impossible for anyone to understand the agony Pheobe’s family is feeling right now. And it’s just as hard to understand how the two people, accused of her murder, continually denied ending her life.
The man charged offered a reward for Pheobe’s safe return, gave a media interview claiming she was alive when he last saw her and went about his normal life, including appearing on dating apps, as though everything was hunky dory.
Meanwhile, her mum has had to navigate the trauma of her missing child, the onslaught of victim-blaming from social media users and the grief that comes with suspecting Pheobe was dead.
Now all she wants is to bring Pheobe home. The right thing would be for the accused to admit their involvement and take police to her body.
But as we know, the right thing rarely happens for femicide victims and their families.
“Our world has just been shattered into the most horrific place I’ve ever been” her mum posted last night.
“We need to put her to rest, we need to put her to peace.”
REST IN POWER, PHEOBE BISHOP! ❤️
