73-year-old Phuc Tran was found murdered in her home at Fitzroy North, Victoria, on July 25.
Thien Nguyen, who is known to Phuc, was charged with her murder on August 8.
Phuc is the 39th Australian woman killed this year. Last year we lost 79 women to violence – the year before 106 women were killed.
