❤️SHE MATTERS: RACHEL McKENNA!❤️
She was vibrant. She was smart. She was fun. She was generous. She was loved.
Rachel McKenna was many things to countless people.
Most importantly, to her seven-year-old son, she was the brave woman who hung the moon, the loving mum who rotated the earth and the best friend who painted the stars in the night sky.
Rachel, 35, was murdered by her partner in Ascot Vale on January 31.
After ending Rachel’s life, he took his own.
Rachel is the seventh Australian woman killed this year.
“She was generous, vibrant, loyal and looked forward to many adventures with her precious son,” her family said in a statement on social media.
“Our darling girl is already so missed, forever leaving a hole in our hearts and lives.
“Her death was an unnecessary tragedy, one we never dreamed would impact our family.
“Something must be done to stem violence against women in this country.”
REST IN POWER RACHEL McKENNA! ❤️
