On October 24, a 53-year-old unnamed woman died in hospital after an incident on the Bussell Highway near Metricup in Western Australia. About three weeks later, a 56-year-old male was charged with her manslaughter. She is the 60th woman killed this year and the 165th woman killed since January 1, 2024.
She is included in my count as I document all unlawful deaths of women, including those where charges of manslaughter are in place.
