❤️SHE MATTERS: UNNAMED WOMAN!❤️
As I write, we have lost four women and three children in acts of murder-suicide this year.
The most recent was the killing of an unnamed 29-year-old woman in Werribee, Victoria.
She was found on May 15. Her partner murdered her and then ended his own life, multiple sources close to the woman have confirmed.
She is the 27th of 32 Australian women killed this year. Last year we lost 79 women to violence – the year before 106 women were killed.
Her killer, Gerrod Elbourne, had a long history of violence including harming former partners.
He burned down his parents’ home and killed their dog in another act of domestic violence. For this he spent around 12 months in jail – had he served a longer sentence, the woman would still be alive.
