Below Deck Mediterranean star Nathan Gallagher allegedly strangled and assaulted a woman at home in Sydney on Boxing Day last year.
Gallagher is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choke etc person without consent and common assault.
All are listed as domestic violence offences.
He was placed on bail and has pleaded not guilty.
Gallagher will return to court on September 1.
The victim of the assault has not been named.
A woman who appears on the show has an Apprehended Violence Application against Gallagher.
