You may have noticed an increase in young and adolescent boys attacking girls across Australia.
We’ve seen multiple gang rapes across the country and other offences of violence involving male children including the murder of Layla Jeffrey by a 16-year-old boy just months ago.
Today, a nine-year-old girl is lucky to have not been killed or permanently disfigured after a 16-year-old boy beat her severely in Ballarat.
The teen is accused of bashing a nine-year-old girl with his mobile phone after saying to her ‘Do you want to die whore?’.
The assault happened in Alfredton on October 18.
The victim’s aunt Rose has posted on social media about the attack, saying the teenager hit the girl six times. Photos show the child covered in blood.
“I had to call the police four times before any member attended and they sent an army of ALL men,” Rose says.
After Rose posted about the attack, police put out a media release saying her story was fake – even though it was exactly what she told police.
Rose has re-posted about the incident saying: “The victim was my nine-year-old niece who was approached by a 16-year-old offender around dusk and asked ‘do you want to die whore’ before hitting her in the face with his phone. He then hit her six times in the head. Six fucking times.”
Rose says the girl IS deeply distressed and required medical care. She said the injuries are not life-threatening but the attack is most definitely life-changing.
“These are life-changing unjustified abuse and trauma that a grade-four nine-year-old girl should not of had to endure at the hands of a male older than her,” she writes.
“I spent over eight hours at the hospital while she filled six bags with blood.
“Violence against women is bad enough but now violence against innocent young girls?”.
The teenager was arrested and interviewed. Police released him pending the issue of a summons.
