❤️HER NAME IS: ALICIA LITTLE!❤️

Men using cars to kill women – it’s the easiest way for them to get away with murder.
The killing of Alicia Little is just one example of femicide by vehicle I’ve documented over the years – and in almost every case the perpetrator served less than three years – or no prison time at all.
Alicia’s partner deliberately killed her with his car on December 28, 2017 at Kyneton in Victoria. She was 41 years old.
Charles McKenzie Evans served just 2.5 years. He was originally charged with her murder but made a deal with the Victorian public prosecutor to plead guilty to dangerous driving causing death and failing to render assistance.
At first he said she killed herself – and then he said it was an accident. It was neither.
In the 4.5 years they were together, he subjected Alicia to horrendous levels of violence.
Two years before he killed Alicia, he bashed her so badly, he broke her ribs. He also left her with bruising on her face. Then he called police claiming she attacked him.
Police heard Alicia yelling in the background – they heard her say she couldn’t breathe. They heard her beg him to stop strangling her.
Her only chance at escape was fighting back – she bit him to make him let go.
When police arrived, she told them she feared for her life.
So police charged ALICIA with assault and put the AVO on her.
This was despite them having clear knowledge of his violence against her over the years.
She feared going to the police again.

On the day she died, Alicia called her mum Lee Little.
She told Lee her bags were packed and she was leaving.
Lee begged Alicia to call 000 so police could get her away safely.
As Alicia walked to her car, he drove his ute into her.
He crushed Alicia against a water tank. Then he ran her over again. She had no hope of surviving.
He now lives on the same street as some of Alicia’s family, he is often found on dating apps and continues to stalk her family on social media.
Alicia is the oldest child of mum Lee and dad Bronco. She’s big sister to Heith and Bronson. She’s also mum to four children.
“She was such a good baby,” Lee says.
“She walked at seven months and had her first tooth at four months.
“As a child, she followed her dad everywhere – she got into mischief anywhere she could. As a teenager, she loved school and sports. She loved life.”
Alicia loved helping people and animals.
She was one of the highest achievers in Year 12.
When she left school, she got her truck licence to help her dad out.
Alicia split her time working at a stable with her role as a performer and aerial artist in Eroni’s Circus.
Alicia lived for her family. And she loved her partner. Deciding to leave was not easy – but she did make that decision – many times. Like most abusers, he manipulated her into returning.
“He would bash Alicia and I would bring her home,” Lee says.
“We would block his phone number, but then he would get someone else’s phone and tell her he was getting help – that happened a lot.”
“I’ve got this, Mum. I have packed my bags.” These were the last words she spoke to Lee. Minutes later he killed her.
“Alicia always smiled, she laughed, she lit up a room and tried to help anyway she could,” Lee says.
“We had a special mother and daughter bond – that was strong.
“I miss her love. The phone calls. The photos.
“I miss everything about her. Her dad misses his daughter – he still can’t believe our daughter is gone.
“The hardest thing for us is not having Alicia here every day,” Lee says.
“And blaming ourselves for not getting her out. We have a life sentence.
Alicia’s family are campaigning for a national domestic violence offender registry.
