ABOUT THE ARTIST & THE ARTWORK

Warrior Lidia Thorpe is a Gunnai, Gunditjmara and Djab Wurring Senator for Victoria representing the Blak Sovereign Movement in Federal Parliament. She is a violence survivor and outspoken fearless advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The image is hand-drawn by Tom Soar. Tom is a professional tattoo artist and tattooist, a graffiti writer and a multidisciplinary artist living in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. His work features bold, colorful designs that aim to make a positive impact.
