Mark Sheridan Waden was under arrest for the murder of Priscilla Brooten when detectives recorded an indepth interview with him.
During the interview, Waden repeatedly demeaned the university lecturer and gifted mathematician.

The footage – released by the court after Waden was convicted over Priscilla’s death – reveals how cold, calm and seemingly rational abusive men can be.
“She wasn’t a nice person,” he told police.
“I mean, I don’t see how that’s a difficult thing to understand, because she’s not a nice person.
“To stay here and use false names and doing whatever illegal activity she was doing online.”
Waden murdered Priscilla after she broke up with him following the discovery of him seeing another woman.
Throughout their relationship, he subjected Priscilla to abuse and violence.
“Remember when you beat the shit out of me,” she wrote in her journal.
“Do you know what it has done to me? My psyche. You gave me excuses, blamed me.
“I hate you for what you did to me.
“I tried to kill myself. You don’t care. You hit me, you don’t care.
“He claims he fears for his life that I would stab him while he was sleeping.
“He chooses to sleep next to me. I would never threaten to kill, stab or physically hurt him. Why would I kill or stab him?”.
Waden murdered Priscilla in July of 2018 and most likely dumped her at a waste disposal facility. Her remains have not been found. He was recently convicted of her murder and sentenced to mandatory life in jail.
